Hello

I have an Openplotter 1.0.0 system, with an NGT-1 connected to the N2K network.
I can see the N2K data fine in the SignalK web apps, and the 'CAN' tab in Openplotter, but it does not get sent to OpenCPN.

All I can see in the 'diagnostics' is data from the sensors connected to the RPI

I am guessing that the problem is in the kplex set up ?- if someone can help me fix it, I would be very grateful

thank you

Andrew

Opencpn can't interprete nmea2000 and SignalK. It works with NMEA0183.
Use the SignalK to NMEA converter and activate the sentences you want to convert.
You can get to the converter by the browser (10.10.10.1:3000) signalk admin interface

thanks for the quick reply !

I thought Openplotter used Signalk as the base protocol- so that all data from SignalK would be available ?

Just to clarify- I use the 'Convert SignalK to NMEA0183' plugin ?
Will this send data such as AIS to OpenCPN ?

thank you

Andrew
OpenPlotter uses SignalK as base protocol. But opencpn doesn't. There are only few programs which support nmea2000.
OpenPlotter has the advantage to generate SignalK data from sensors, generate from SignalK NMEA2000 or NMEA0183.
When there is a plugin in SignalK this should be used.
Plugin 'Convert SignalK to NMEA0183' is OK. But I haven't tested if it is able to send AIS.
