Last year i successfully installed op in my boat. It gives me a optimum support during my navigation in the north adriac see.
Now i would like to implement my configuration connecting my autohelm to op, basically for the batimetric and wind misure.
I have the instrument panel and the plug as show below... Sameone can explain in a simple way how can i connect them to op?
Thank you for all your help and support

Unfortunately ST50 TRIDATA and ST50 Wind instrument has no NMEA 0183 interface for connecting third party equipment (only ST50+ TRIDATA REPEATER and Autohelm MFD has it).
Tridata and Wind displays only has Seatalk interface (3pin connector on your picture)

You need some kind of Seatalk->NMEA 0183 converter, for example Raymarine "PC/Seatalk/NMEA Interface BOX" (some call it RS232 BOX) which is hard to find and not so cheap (for my taste)

PS: I see second seatalk cable on your picture (from wind instrument) which is leading to some another place. It is just power or i guess you have at least one another device in your seatalk network. What is it? Is it Repeater?
Thank you.
This one can make the work? https://www.painestore.it/convertitore_s...vMEALw_wcB

Something cheaper exists?

I though it was 1 camble for wind and 1 for depth... But i never check. Next time i will

That device is for Seatalk NG. The instruments you showed use first generation Seatalk. You need a two way Seatalk bridge.

Hi, it's the same I indicated. It comes from Australia (it will take some time, but the seller is serious). You must connect the output of your instruments (identifying the three corresponding colors: red + black mass or gnd- yellow Seatalk data) to the "Seyak" and connect it with the cable in dodation to a USB port of the rpi. Good job  Smile
Is that device bi-directional?
