Hi!

In the following I will post the evolution of my Openplotter installation on board.

Yesterday I started with a new mahagoni board for the navigation corner. With a cnc router I cut the hole for the 7" screen.

Yesssss,
When a dreamed of a DIY open-source navigation system to be installed on all kind of boats I was thinking of what your are doing Smile please keep reporting.

Where is that cnc router? is it yours?
Yes, the router is mine. I constructed and built it in a period, when boating was a little bit clamer than today. It is running seldom, but when it is running, it is very useful.

More pictures in the next days.

WoW, great work!!!
amazing!
I can see you have installed the virtual keyboard matchbox, Does it work right? I have not installed on OP core because processor jumps to 90% and it had some important bugs.

Yes, the keyboard is running. But the keys are pretty small. I will try to find another layout.
And the touchscreen isn't as easy to aim as with my tablet.
I will have a look on CPU usage.

Tomorrow I will install the board on board :-).

Now installed on board. Looking great.
Next step is installing the sensors.

Awesome!

Have you got dimming/light control to work on the RPI-screen?
That is one of the things I want to get working..
