Hi!

How can I use the (unmodified) DVB stick for watching TV?

I installed Kodi - runnig fine with media files
I installed TVHeadEnd - running, I can access the Web configuration site

But the DVB stick does not show up in TvHeadEnd.

In Openplotter, I can see the waterfall runnig, so I guess the stick is recognized by raspbian.

Is it possible, that Openplotter "occipies" the stick?
The driver for RTL2832U is integrated in the Openplotter image?

Thanks for help,

Martin
I have never used this stick to watch TV but I can give some tips...
Be sure your stick is compatible with your country TV band. The sticks are not usable on all countries to watch TV.
Linux has already the driver integrated. OpenPlotter blacklist this driver to be used by the SDR software. So it should work on any Linux distribution.

FYI on OP v0.8.0 I have installed a VHF receiver on SDR-AIS tab and you will be able to listen to all the marine band and more... And I have installed a surprise and experimental feature too just to play Smile

That means, the stick is blocked for other programs beside openplotter?

How can I make the stick available to other programs?
This is only on OpenPlotter, if you try your dongle on other system it should work.
To delete blacklist on OpenPlotter type

sudo nano /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf

and delete lines

blacklist dvb_usb_rtl28xxu
blacklist rtl2832
blacklist rtl2830
