headless pypilot - RooieDirk - 2018-07-15

I'm trying to run a headless openplotter including moitessier-hat without x-server.
Not to difficult to get kplex, signalK etc running. Only starting pypilot is giving me headaches.
I can start (via ssh login)the xserver, and then it runs flawless, but without x nothing.
Does somebody hereĀ  know the trick?

If you mean remote control, since v1.x.x you'll need RealVNC VNC Viewer instead of UltraVNC Viewer. If you mean pypilot not starting, I've no idea about that.

Got it working Smile .
Now I have a headless nmea and signalK server, giving the gps, ais and compass data. The server is running openplotter without X on a readonly filesystem. Due to the readonly fs I can just switch off the power, without risking damage to the SD card.
And for configuring it is easy to login over ssh, start the xserver and then use a VNC viewer to do a graphical setup.

If needed, I can make a small document of how I did it.

Todo: some small adjustments and get the airpressure in nmea
