headless pypilot - RooieDirk - 2018-07-15 I'm trying to run a headless openplotter including moitessier-hat without x-server. Not to difficult to get kplex, signalK etc running. Only starting pypilot is giving me headaches. I can start (via ssh login)the xserver, and then it runs flawless, but without x nothing. Does somebody hereĀ know the trick? RE: headless pypilot - JeroenAdam - 2018-07-15 If you mean remote control, since v1.x.x you'll need RealVNC VNC Viewer instead of UltraVNC Viewer. If you mean pypilot not starting, I've no idea about that. RE: headless pypilot - RooieDirk - 2018-07-16 Got it working . Now I have a headless nmea and signalK server, giving the gps, ais and compass data. The server is running openplotter without X on a readonly filesystem. Due to the readonly fs I can just switch off the power, without risking damage to the SD card. And for configuring it is easy to login over ssh, start the xserver and then use a VNC viewer to do a graphical setup. If needed, I can make a small document of how I did it. Todo: some small adjustments and get the airpressure in nmea |
