ikommunicate Kindle app - Saqqara - 2017-03-15 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=35Q8_7nxMiQ https://github.com/digitalyacht/ikommunicate I've always been interested in these devices as sunlight readable displays. And in general, a simple high contrast display in a browser is attractive. It might be impolitic to put this in the Openplotter image, I'm not sure. They have been using e-Ink displays for some time on their race computers (a few years I think), so well ahead of the game it seems. Their displays are quite small but perfectly adequate for reading digits.. they display speed and time information mainly but I think can also display other stuff as needed such as acceleration etc.. Anyway back to the subject. I think your best bet will be messing with a kindle as I don't see e-Ink displays being on the general market anytime soon. Anything affordable by most of us will have to be home-brew. Chris |
