Logging battery amps

I’ve managed somehow to get amps and bolts showing in signalK using a combination of ESPEasy and Nodered, however it poses a new question....

How do you get the INA219 to log the amps/volts from the negative side? Every code out there predominantly uses the positive side to measure but for solar panels, etc you need both measures...I found a site that explained there was a bug in the INA coding which doesn’t allow it, but I wondered if anyone had worked around it?
