Just wanted to ask possibilities to include trim tab controls to pypilot...
In general you could choose option for using autotrim function where system tries to level boat for optimum angle.
If changing course or passengers move, it could automatically correct boat trim and tilt. These systems are available from mente-marine and bennett at least...
Simplest would be to control 4 relays connected to existing trim system. (left,right, up, down)
This could be activated as mode Auto, and maybe some predefined settings (like roughseas) plus manual control within the system or hardwired buttons.
Trim function could be separated from actual autopilot, so those not using autopilot, could still activate "active-trim"
Any opinions are welcome.
