What's puzzling is that I read about the Linux tethering bug online when troubleshooting this before I posted the question here but ignored it because my phone tethered initially then quit and it's been running ios 14 the whole time. I have a similar problem. I have:
Pi 400 iPhone 8 running iOS 15.4.1 w/usb-lightning cable bringing cellular internet in Internet is set for eth01 and as a WiFi access point using onboard Pi WiFi. The pi drops the connection for the iPhone multiple times a day I have done updates, and upgrade Using auto instead of eth01 I do use a pi zero w for PiHole dns on the WiFi network |
