you may need to type "y" and "enter" a few times
I decided to reset to a fresh install and try the updates.
The Raspian update gave me the following error:
Processing triggers for dbus (1.8.22-0+deb8u1) ...
Processing triggers for libc-bin (2.19-18+deb8u10) ...
Processing triggers for gconf2 (3.2.6-3) ...
Processing triggers for shared-mime-info (1.3-1) ...
Errors were encountered while processing:
/var/cache/apt/archives/libdns100_1%3a9.9.5.dfsg-9+deb8u15_armhf.deb
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
#### ERROR. ABORTING, PRESS ENTER TO EXIT ####
This is just the last few lines of the LXTerminal.
I then tried updating Openplotter and got the following error:
Translation-en_GB
Ign http://mirrordirector.raspbian.org jessie/non-free Translation-en
Ign http://mirrordirector.raspbian.org jessie/rpi Translation-en_GB

You might want to run 'apt-get -f install' to correct these.
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
bind9-host : Depends: libdns100 (= 1:9.9.5.dfsg-9+deb8u15) but 1:9.9.5.dfsg-9+deb8u10 is installed
E: Unmet dependencies. Try using -f.
#### ERROR. ABORTING, PRESS ENTER TO EXIT ####
Again just the last few lines of the LXTerminal.
Probably because of the previous error.
I'm well and truly out of my depth with this one so hopefully this means something to you guys.
Thanks for any help.
