Been having similar issues trying to set up my network.
I have a wifi extender connected to eth0 and initially it was connecting fine and providing internet but I was having problems setting the Pi as an access point.
I managed to get it working then changed the wifi password and now it is not connecting to the wifi extender. I'm sure I must have done something else I doubt changing the default password would break it.
Anyway the network mode I have set is RPi3:AP/Client + Bridge eth0 and the internet sharing device is wlan0.
The network status is: br0 configured 10.10.10.1/24
eth0 configured 169.254.40.107/16
uap0 associated with openplotter
uap0 configured 169.254.209.115/16
wlan0 not associated
The ip address of the wifi extender should be 192.168.88.xx which I think it was when things were working. Somehow it seems to be getting assigned a different ip address.
The other option I've tried is assigning a static address to eth0 but the values I'm used to in the past were:
IP Address 192.168.88.2
Net Mask 255.255.255.0
Gateway 192.168.88.1
DNS Server 192.168.88.1
The options on the eth0 config screen are different and trying different settings I get the same network status as above except:
"eth0 Link is up configuring" and it just seems to hang there with no change.
As you can probably tell I'm a bit out of my depth here so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
