It does not work.
Your suggestion provided the following repeated output:

I2C read error from 83, 50 - Error reading from ADXL345
failed to read IMU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IMU Name: L3G4200D + HMC5883L

Has anyone had any success using L3G4200D imu and actually getting output?
The L3G4200D + HMC5883L is pictured in the documentation as being the model
I2C imu under the "Connecting I2C sensors" heading
