Missing BRG and COG on B&G Network Nav cockpit display
#1
hello again,
I ve got a B&G Network Nav Display as GPS Display connected to a Rs422 serial2usb adapter on my Rpi.
In open plotter i added a Serial output to the B&G Display. SOG and DTW are on the display, but COG and BEaring to waypoint are missing.
The B&G shows only off.

Hey, doesnt have anybody a hint to solve my Problem
i tried many configurations and send different NMEA sentence. but still COG and BTW is missing.

http://www.chicagomarineelectronics.com/...Manual.pdf
In the Manual is described what kind of Sentences are accepted.
I think **RMC is the right one. In the Inspector i see that the GPS Dongle makes the sentence.
I configured the Serial Output for connecting with the B&G Network without any Filters. everthing works expect the COG and BTW....
I hope anyone can help me

Perhaps he solved the problem.
Have you test that you really get an RMB sentence? (for Bearing to Waypoint)
COG and SOG are in the same sentence. I don't understand, that you only have SOG.
Please make sure that you have activate 0183(V1.5) in the setup and not 0180.
You can test your device by using a terminal program and copy and paste NMEA sentences to it.
Or directly connect a GPS sensor to the B&G display.
