Here's the 3D printed case. It's a tight fit, but I squeezed a power switch, a bare esp826612E, and 4 3AAA batteries in series/parallel for 3.3v. I downloaded the case here https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2902923 and had my library print it.

Wow, that looks great! I'm glad it worked for you. I'd be interested in knowing how long it works on batteries.

I just got one of these in the mail from Aliexpress. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/T5-V2-0-...09930.html.

It has onboard battery charging and a cool epaper display. I'm looking forward to porting to it!
