SignalK account
#1
OP keeps on asking to change SignalK password.
I launch SK webApp, and try do access, I couldn't, so I tried to create an account. (Sign Up)
Then I am requested an email (BTW why ?), I give one valid email, a password, I confirm the password, click Create an account, but it freezes and nothing happens...
I am only trying to set a password for SK, all this seems to be over sophisticated ! Dodgy

I'm preparing to transfer a config to someone else, so I am struggling to clean accounts ans Passwords
- recorded password in Chromium : cleaned ! (may be my mistake)
- Signal k node server : no access possible, openplotter/openplotter doesn't work neither openplotter/pre ! Is there a possibility  to reset other than force an update to 1.2.0 ?
In fact, I would like to set a password distinct from "openplotter".

EDIT : I've forced update 1.2.0 => 1.2.0, hope it could save the signalK password issue

EDIT 2 : it didn't !  (Murphy's law probably ...). Which leaves me with 2 options:
  1. SHIFT F1, then rebuild the building brick after brick, or
  2. dd the128 Gb of the SSD, which will take say 12 hours, but will run unassisted ...
need a coffee break ...
...
...
EDIT 3 : Option 2, Its gone for the night ...

EDIT 4 : After 36402s its done ... Conclusion : A second admin account is required in signal K !

I have the same problems,
I have tried using 10.10.10.1:3000 in the address line but the same invalid password came back.
I have tried doing this via VNC and with a monitor and keyboard hooked up. All attempts failed.

just in case someone else is looking for a solution: https://openplotter.readthedocs.io/en/la...k_app.html

  1. Open a terminal

  2. Delete the existing file: /home/pi/.signalk/defaults.json

  3. Run the setup sudo signalk-server-setup. Accept the update option rather than configuring from scratch. Select no for port 80 and SSL

  4. Navigate to the login page with a browser. Note that the option is now not to login but instead to create an administrator account. Once you do that you will be offered the login page.
