VPN Connection
#1
Hi,

What a cool application is Openplotter. I have serveral PI, running Domoticz , VPN, and Kodi.
Now I can controle my sailing boat  Big Grin.

I've just started. , So I have still a lot to learn about OpenPlotter.

I have 2 USB Wifi dongles in my PI, One for the wifi in the Harbour Network and One for Plotter wifi network.
Now I want to make a VPN connection to my house.  I have VPN up and running one my house network.
That is no issue.
But when I want to create a VPN Connection in OpenPlotter  , VPN connection doesn'ty appear in the list, I have to install the VPN plugin.
How and where to have to install the plugin.

Regards

Jos

Now I just use the up it in "/etc/openvpn/client_openvpn.conf" way,

Hi!

I have the same problem. I want to connect my raspberry pi on board via VPN with my VPN server at home. Network is GSM.

When trying to set up a VPN connection in the networks tabs, VPN settings are missing, there is a message, I have to install the right VPN plugin.
How to install this plugin?
I tried to manually install openvpn oder vpnc, both not possible, because of wrong dependencies. They can not be fixed with "sudo apt-get install -f".

Hello everybody.
What exactly are you doing?
Setting up a VPN with http://www.pivpn.io is easy.
VPN makes my opinion after only with DynDNS or similar sense.
A constant IP is however in the GSM very difficult to impossible.
What do you think of TeamViewer?
Angel  Entschuldigung für mein Englisch. Es ist "deepl.com english"
PN bitte auf german.  Big Grin

you would need to get through the Harbour Network "set up there network to allow vpn" like you did for your home network it is unlikely they will let you..or use an online vpn sevice.
