KPlex AIS intermittent issue
#1
Hey guys,

I have a strange issue happening.

My AIS is plugged by USB into my Pi which I then pull through the data via KPlex into OpenCPN.

Sometimes, the AIS data disappears from OpenCPN and the simply way to fix it is to open the Openplotter App on the Pi and run Diagnostic.

It then works as expected.

What could be causing this issue? Any way to resolve?

Thanks

I had this small problem before, but with the latest Raspian updates and the latest kernel 4.19.50 it is gone.

I plugged into a powered USB hub and it’s still occurring.

Strangely the second I press diagnose on the Openplotter app for the KPlex serial for the AIS, it starts working!
