raspbian x86 & pi zero

i just installed raspbian x86 on a laptop, and found this about using a pi zero for a gpio expansion board.
looks interesting.

in the x86 release there is a server setup that will let a rpi3 boot from ethernet from the x86 without a sd card.
i am giving that a go now.
