How to install additional nodes

I have problems installing additional nodes after keeping op updated.

Error message:
pi@op010:~/.node-red $ npm install node-red-node-sqlite
npm WARN enoent ENOENT: no such file or directory, open '/home/pi/.node-red/package.json'
npm ERR! Linux 4.4.50-v7+
npm ERR! argv "/usr/bin/nodejs" "/usr/bin/npm" "install" "node-red-node-sqlite"

npm ERR! path /home/pi/.node-red/node_modules/node-red-contrib-freeboard
npm ERR! code EISGIT

npm ERR! git /home/pi/.node-red/node_modules/node-red-contrib-freeboard: Appears to be a git repo or submodule.
npm ERR! git     /home/pi/.node-red/node_modules/node-red-contrib-freeboard
npm ERR! git Refusing to remove it. Update manually,
npm ERR! git or move it out of the way first.

npm ERR! Please include the following file with any support request:
npm ERR!     /home/pi/.node-red/npm-debug.log

Anyone having an advise how to proceed? - Thanks!

Quite a bit in Google about this, I broke my node-red yesterday trying to sort it, from memory I did get it working before reloading the new v11 NOOBS so there is a way, will post if I have any success later.
You can copy the package.json from github but there were still other errors iirc.

I had the same , I removed the map git in this directory , then I can install nodes

home/pi/.node-red/node_modules/node-red-contrib-freeboard

have tried above but unsuccessfully. Renaming or removing of
/home/pi/.node-red/node_modules/node-red-contrib-freeboard/.git
is not possible/allowed.

Have updated to op 11.5 but no change.

Any other advise?

Start pcmanfm from a terminal window.

" Sudo pcmanfm "

Then I removed the .git directory

I just wonder if we are now cut-off from node-red updates through the new op interface provided by sailoog?
