[SOLVED] OP 0.13.x can not be updated
#11
apt-get update
apt-get upgrade

This updates yours raspberian. To update you need to be root or a sudo in front. The other scripts are in a update folder. You need to make them executable

I have now updated everything. There is something wrong with the update.
The icon in the toolbar is gone.
VNC icon is also gone
If I start OP over menu -> OpenPlotter -> OpenPlotter comes a error message.
The startup with the Satusmeldungen comes also no more.
OP starts but when I in the command line
Config / openplotter python openplotter enter.

What went wrong?

config/openplotter python openplotter eingebe.

Was ist schiefgelaufen?

I think vnc is removed in this release, so thats not an error.

No ideas on the other errors though!

I answere in German now because it's more easy for you I think.

Vereinfacht einiges.

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade

Also nochmal und dann

reboot

Würde also nochmal den Upgrade machen.

There are some errors on code on latest update, my fault sorry: http://forum.openmarine.net/showthread.php?tid=660

About updating dependencies: I always do an update from 0.10.0 before publishing a new major version and I had not problem this time but I will test again. The output on the terminal is silenced during system updating because sometimes there is a lot of info but maybe we should print all the ouput to avoid the hang feeling.

Hello,
So far I have not been able to make any progress. I could manually reinstall VNC. This is now running again.
OP can now no longer start from the terminal. I try again with the backup. Maybe I can localize my error there.
Fortunately, there is a backup. Smile
Greetings Jürgen

Hallo,
Smile
Grüße Jürgen

It seems that this was not a bug. Updating from 0.10.0 takes a long time and increases the risk of connection issues.
Thinking of making updating not silenced to see errors and activity.
Could mark this post as solved?
