Hello,
I tried to calibrate the IMU today.
The documentation states that the collected data must be valid. What does that mean?
In my case, the dots don't fit into the circle and there is nothing blue.
What am I doing wrong?
Greetings Jürgen

You have to do nothing, just sail and after 2 minutes the calibration process should collect valid data. Any error?

have you provided more than 60 degrees of heading variation?
IMU model?
errors in debug mode?
openplotter version?

I do not have an MPU-9150 to test.
We recommend MPU-9255. Is there a chance of switch to this imu?

Hello @sailoog,
I bought an MPU-9255. I will also remove the sensor as far away from the system as possible.
I'll report my findings.
Greetings Jürgen

the MPU-9255 calibration is really accurate so you can place it close to the system. Just avoid heavy magnetic fields like speakers.

Hello @Sailoog,
I hope the Powerbank does not generate or emit a strong magnetic field.
But I also have no possibility to test this.
I are now waiting for the new sensors and will be able to continue testing.
Greetings Jürgen
