WiFi Dongle set-up
#1
I'm new to this forum as Santa only recently brought me a RPi3. I have set it up without problem starting with V0.10.0 and have since upgraded to V0.17.0. Everything works OOB so far and I am very pleased with the unit. However, I am now struggling to get a wifi dongle to install and would appreciate some help.

The dongle is an Add-On NWU285, based on the Realtek RTL8192EU chipset (0bda:818b). I have checked the unit type using lsusb and can confirm that is the device type. When plugged into the Pi the unit was not automatically installed so I have tried running the install.sh file provided with the unit. This fails with Error 2.

Is this a known problem with this chipset? If so, what is the solution? If not, has anyone any ideas?
