Hi,
I notice various threads in the past on trying to get an affordable sunlight readable display ( at a reasonable price! Smile )
Has anyone cracked that problem yet?
Jodel
no not that i know of...
you can by Ikey displays on ebay for reasonable prices sometimes, just keep checking back, there are none on there atm
I bought this screen and it works great...except the touch...
iKey IK-KV-12.1 High-Bright 12.1" iKeyVision Flat Touch Screen

These are displays that come out of emergency responders vehicles etc
I will keep a look out for them.
Thanks

The 7” touchscreen from United Touch (https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/G...70636.html) mentioned in the reference given by mgrouch, seems interesting, especially with the 1500nit LED backlight enhancements (Customized).

The end customer price for a single European buyer will be high however (56 € for the unit, 58 € for transport, 30 € for custom handling by DHL, and xx € taxes depending on the country. . .).

Perhaps, after a survey (or better, a commitment by enough persons), the openmarine.net shop could handle a group purchase. I would certainly be interested.
On a Youtube Openplotter review somebody suggested Faytech in the comments:

I dont have one but they have IP65, high brightness touchscreens in a variety of sizes
Hello everybody,
I have been using a 15" Faytech with HDMI for a long time.
Admittedly it is not quite cheap. But it is very well readable and robust (aluminium housing).
It has integrated speakers.

Unfortunately I still have problems with the calibration.

Greetings Jürgen
