Hello,

I would like to know if the headless setup is more powerfull and stable than the complete setup.
What I want to do is to have two raspberry :
  • raspberry PI 4B : openplotter headless with signal K, Pypilot, GPS, IMU, PyPilot, Nmea input
  • raspberry PI 400 : openplotter with OpenCpn

What do you think about this setup?
When I don't need chart I can turn off the PI400, and save power, PyPilot still work and I can't see all my sensor with my smartphone.
A headless setup is just as stable as any other setup.

Why 2 Raspberries? a Raspberry 4 is perfectly capable of running everything you need. If you do not need charts you can just close OpenCPN and turn off the monitor to save power.

I think that if you add a second Raspberry you are increasing consumption unnecessarily. I would have an additional Raspberry on board, but only to duplicate the setup for safety.
