I bought this https://www.waveshare.com/wiki/10_DOF_IMU_Sensor_© it came with a dedicated QA sticker. I have found that when i let pypilot use it it works for a long time (i will wait more to be sure). As soon as i try to get the data from the BMP280 simultaneously too things "act up". Normally the BMP data stops coming first and then the IMU data stops some hour after that. I have also seen that the I2C address poll gives changing results.

IMHO i think that when waveshare put two sensors on the board maybe somthing went wrong.

I have now ordered this https://www.sparkfun.com/products/15335 and will attach it and try to see if it is stable.

A conclusion would be that the breakout-bords featuring a second sensor (barometric and temp normally) might be; faulty all over, more faulty compared to single sensor breakouts ... or ... it is a question of the quality of MPU-95x compared to the ICM-20948.

I will report my - non scientific - findings here if anyone else is interested. It would also be interesting to hear from someone using the waveshare ICM-version (*with* a second sensor): https://www.waveshare.com/wiki/10_DOF_IMU_Sensor_(D)

Regards and fair winds!

It is hard to say, but it is possible both boards have pullup resistors on the i2c line which could be a bad thing.

Otherwise i2c should be able to share many devices on the same bus.
