HI:

Since I got my Imu with my Mac Arthur Hat and pi5, I got bad readings after some time; heading, heel and pitch go crzay, and slowly go back to normal.

Reading the forum I have seen that it's due to some timing issue in I2c bus, but I don't find out how to fix it.

Any solution?

THANKS!

Dear Sean!

Thanks for the help! I had read it looking for other info, and when I tried to relocate the info, i couldn't find it anymore. IT solved my case too!

BTW; I just received my Tinipylot computer and Motor controller made by Jean Marc ( Navitop); sooooo  happy to be able to try your wonder!

I bought a linear actuator 170 mm / Sec and 150N, fast and reasonably strong. I will try it as Jean Marc told me that speed is the most important feature. Hopefully those 150n are enough for my wonderful Harle's  Jeannau Aquila 27, with very light rudder feel and semihung/semiskeg/semibalanced rudder! If not enoyght I would have loist 80 €, but a slaughter for the community wisedom! I will post my experience here.

Thanks for all your development.
you could also get a more powerful slower one for sailing upwind. Mine was only 50N and it worked fine but I had a balanced rudder as well.

Also experiment with different distances along the tiller.

The cheap ones tend to rust though, maybe spray it or coat it somehow. I would try to keep it out of the rain as much as practical.
