Bio: I'm a German based sailor with a 36 foot ship in the adriatic (Croatia) and dived a couple of weeks ago into the magic of the Raspi / Openplotter ocean. My goal is to build a bridge between the existing NMEA0183 world on my ship and functional new possibilities already available such as Signal K based add on's. Existing and available stock items are cool but I'm not willing to pay a couple of thousand euros to reach the same result plus not being able to technically manage the whole stuff by myself which for shure is possible with the Openplotter setup. Cool project though!
