OpenCPN gains vs. Webapp gains - jamos.tan@gmail.com - 2020-07-27

I have a question about the configuration of the gains.
When adjusting gains in the OpenCPN plugin I do not see the same values in the Pypilot Webapp.
Also I see more gains to be set in the Webapp.
I am now using this documentation https://pypilot.org/wiki/doku.php?id=tuning_gains to set the gains.

Today I was on open water and the waves were a bit unpleasant (short high waves) so I could not adjust the gains very well, because my attention demanded me at the helm. Tomorrow the sea state will be better so I will try the gains another time, but I just wanted to know which app to use for the gains, and if any extra documentation is available (also about the webapp gains)

I have had the best luck adjusting gains within openCPN pypilot plugin, you do not have to close the window for adjustments to take effect so you can open a session and have instant feed back as you make the adjustments, take a picture of your starting point and take notes of observed results of changes, it will help you dial it in.
