UART - Max1947 - 2020-11-06

Ask the experts.
After enabling UART in "documents" it reads:

"If you want to connect a Pypilot motor controller, you do not need to set an alias for ttyAMA0 because Pypilot will detect the controller automatically. See Pypilot for more info."

In Serial it actually appears "ttyAMA0" and to understand if Pypilot hooks UART it must turn Green. Or should I force the connection?

Huh

I always make the connection.

OK thanks. Another step.
Configuring the "GPS".
The DOC reads: "Depending on the type of data you set when defining the alias, some supported programs will be enabled in the toolbar when selecting devices. To see how this works we are going to configure our USB GPS receiver. Select the ttyOP_gps device and press Add to Signal K:

Note

Select Add to Pypilot only if you are using a Pypilot controller. See Pypilot for more info. "

Then I configure GPS by selecting "Add to Pypilot". Quite right?  Huh

Another step,  Cool

made the connections following the directions above (thanks @ rastam4n), in pypilot I see the connections.
But in SignalK it gives me an error. I always attach photos.  Huh

Look to the right in your signalk photo you can see it’s connected. I see that error as well. I believe it’s just a timing issue. Nothing to worry about.
