Distance seems quite close with just a knotted rope as a measuring device... didn't pay much attention to minimum depth, won't really be of much interest on a sailing boat, be aground before you get that shallow.. Dinghy test next, still have a handheld gauge to check the readings, but seems hopeful that it might spit out something useful, all I want to know is a rough guide of the uncharted anchorage or river. |
