Standard Horizon GX-2000 integration with Openplotter and the Raspberry Pi - Techstyle - 2022-06-01

After a couple of years of using a handheld VHF at the helm of my Hunter 336, I decided to add a new VHF with remote mic.  I connected it through my Raspberry Pi and into the boat sound system. Now it will definitely be loud enough and controllable from the helm!  The VHF gets SOG, COG and location from the Raspberry Pi and sends DSC and DSE sentences back.  AIS is connected through as well.  In the video, I walk through the wiring diagram and do a demonstration of the sound through the pi, to the boat sound system
