Openplotter Opencpn loses config - mikekolling - 2024-06-30
Hi
Have installed the Openplotter image on to RPI5.
It works, but annoyingly everytime i run OpenCPN it has forgotten the config from the last time so hence it means-
1. Its in night time mode so cannot read the screen
2. Units are KM/h and depth in Feet even though i set the units the last time.
Is there an easy fix for this?
ALSO! - the toolbar is stuck in the middle and will not move if i try to drag with a mouse.
Some forums reckon the paid for version of Opencpn is better. Would that help?

Paid OpenCPN only exists on Android.
It seems that you are in Wayland mode, try the X11 mode: https://openplotter.readthedocs.io/latest/settings/raspberry.html#wayland

I switched to the FlatPack and that worked fine. Thanks
