OpenCPN flatpak doesn't seem to run on a 16Gb Pi 5 - jimseng - 2025-02-05

Hello.
Following on from this thread on the OpenCPN forum: https://www.cruisersforum.com/forums/f134/issues-with-v5-10-2-and-raspberry-pi-5-a-291939-2.html
I and another user have had an issue with flatpak version of OpenCPN on a Pi 5. I don't yet know what version of the Pi 5 the other user has but I have just got hold of one of the Pi 5 16Gb versions and OpenCPN doesn't run in OpenGL. The map is just a blue screen (sometimes a bit stripey) and the tool bars are black:
Once at this stage the whole OS hangs and I have to pull the plug, unless I can SSH in but a reboot takes a few minutes.

I thought I would ask here as in case anyone can shed some light on it. I haven't had any issues with the 8Gb version.
The non flatpak version is fine but of course two finger zoom doesn't work on non DSI touch screens. I have another 16Gb pi arriving tomorrow but I am wondering if I should be considering sending them back. (I hope not)

Any news? has the problem been resolved? I am curious because I purchased the 16gb version as well.....
