Confusion on what components to order - Garcilla1983 - 2025-07-02 Hi all! I'm putting together a shopping cart to build my chart plotter, from scratch. I'm a bit confused on what to order with my MacArthur hat for gps and ais. do I in fact also need a daisy hay or maiana base kit? And antenna or GPS antenna? I'm a little confused as what's needed! Please help, I was hoping to put this order through tonight! RE: Confusion on what components to order - Adrian - 2025-07-03 If you want to receive AIS, then you'd need a dAISy HAT. If you want to also transmit AIS, you will need a MAIANA instead. MAIANA comes with an integrated GPS receiver. If you don't have MAIANA, you could buy a USB GPS puck for location data. RE: Confusion on what components to order - sebba - 2025-07-04 If you need Maiana, wait a little bit more. This month should be on stock, again. If you will have MacArthur hat, the base kit is enough, you don't need a NMEA adapter. So it will be manufactured again then? I just saw after posting this it was currently out of manufacture, that would be great if so!!! RE: Confusion on what components to order - sebba - 2025-07-05 Yes, I'm working on it, final steps of production. First batch should be ready this month. RE: Confusion on what components to order - Garcilla1983 - 2025-07-08 That's great! Once available, what website should I purchase from? I'm located in the US. RE: Confusion on what components to order - sebba - 2025-07-08 I'm not 100% sure but I think will be the same site for worldwide orders. At least for now. |
