Threaded Mode What IMU?
#1
Hello everyone,

My name is kerry, first post here, thanks a lot for accepting me.

I am starting my Pi + OP project and would like to install an IMU to start with, I got a not working board (MPU92/65) from Amazon, not recognized neither by I2C nor by Pypilot...both with Openplotter and BBNOS, is there any version of IMU easy to find in the typical channels? I am getting crazy to get for example an ICM20948 (would that even work?) as an alternative any HAT that has this integrated and serves for additional purposes that might interesting (in my case no NMEA 2k, or no need for Autopilot....)

The board you have may be defective, but first I would carefully check connections. You need only 3v3, sda, scl, gnd A lot of these boards are either defective in some way or have large sensor biases (likely rejected parts resold)

The icm20948 is better because it wont be a rejected part, otherwise the quality of the sensors is the same. If you get one, look for one with onboard level converters since this board runs on 1v8.
