If anyone is interested in a larger screen, this just became available on Indigogo. https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/vinpo...ce=10.17#/

Looks good at first sight.

I'm afraid the brightness isn't enough for outdoor.

The brightness should be somewhere around 1000 cd.

Your linked part has 260.

This means that you can hardly see anything in daylight without a lot of sun.

Oops, changed my mind! This popped up in some searches. It looks like the small, 12V powered RPI screen that I've been looking for a long time.

Is this screen sunlight readable? It doesn't say anything on that website regarding brightness

e.g. 9.7" https://www.waveshare.com/9.7inch-e-paper-hat.htm

Refresh times are becoming pretty good in e-ink, I have thought about making mast display(s) from these. But the price is still pretty far from using a couple of year old Kindles for the same purpose. Then again, with a 3d printed case designed for that purpose...

So I just purchased and received this monitor from Alibaba. I am very happy with the quality, the resolution is good, brightness is great, and the touch works well with RPi4
