Hi. I have the same problem... after bit of frustration with basic instyall I opted for advanced and reach this same point... and even the screen looks the same, so indeed conclusion is OpenCPN is not installed... after trying to install it is stil same status, and this is the log:

------------------------------------------------------------
Reading package lists...
Building dependency tree...
Reading state information...
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
opencpn : Depends: libcurl3 (>= 7.16.2) but it is not installable
Depends: libwxgtk-webview3.0-0v5 (>= 3.0.2+dfsg) but it is not installable
Recommends: xcalib but it is not going to be installed
Recommends: opencpn-doc but it is not going to be installed

Appreciated help with specific instructions what and how to do next steps and fix any errors. Thanks!

This is your problem, and I run into it often enough.   Sometimes apt update fixes it, sometimes you have to do absurd things that people on reddit say to try, other times reinstalling is the easiest/fastest option.

I have a PI 3B and installed new raspberry using Raspberry Pi Imager.
Downloaded openplotter-settings_2.9.1-stable_all.deb
Installed and started loading packages from Settings.
"OpenCPN installer" installed, but running installer flashed terminal and
closing with out installing anything. Have no error to pass on.

Ran Signal K Installer and eneded with this:

sudo: signalkPostInstall: command not found

Not a technical person and dead in the water.
Any advice?

Just to clarify, followed openplotter advanced documentation.
sudo apt update
sudo apt install python3-wxgtk4.0 python3-ujson python3-pyudev whois vlc

Reinstalled PI OS (Debian Bullseye 10-30-21). First time around I only had a bluetooth mouse/keyboard and didnt install updates. This round had USB and finished setup and updates.
Downloaded: openplotter-settings_2.9.1-stable_all.deb
and followed advanced install instructions from website.
Same problems.
I installed 2.9.1 on a NUC computer with linux mint a few months ago and all went well.

Ultimate goal is to have this PI be a NMEA sever powered by and attached to the NMEA network via PCANM hat. Going to use Signal K to feed Pypilot computer.

Thanks for any help.
