I was pointed to this thread from my own thread on FB RPi forum (https://www.facebook.com/groups/16663641...8830175084). I am seeing exactly the same issue (multiple "normal" engine notifications that appear as dialogs from my Yanmar 4JH57 and cause cpu to 100% and a freeze/crash, although in my case I have a Yanmar N2K interface rather than YDEG).
Note that I only observe this on my OpenPlotter 4 install. OpenPlotter 3 works ok.
The previous post refers to an "app" that needs to be uninstalled. Is this the Openplotter notifications app? [Edit: I uninstalled this and it appears to resolve the issue.]
I'd like to get my system upgraded to Openplotter 4 and this is holding me back.
