Seatalk input, MacArthur HAT and rpi5. Options?

This sounds like great news. So when you say same library, I was under the impression that it was using the pigpio library. Is this correct? Has someone managed to get the library to work on a Pi 5? I would love to be able to migrate everything over to my Pi 5, I have to keep the v4 for Seatalk which is a bit crazy and I was starting to look into Pico and PIO, which is way above my skill set.
