hello 

i used various serial-2-usb converters, and for me the best decision was to "diss" kplex. 
just let the op-serial make an alias, and then only select this in SignalK as an NMEA0189 Input.
For NMEA Output i am not shure what plugin to use, but there should be an SignalK solution also.
