Simple 3G device for remote monitoring

Are these reasonably simple to instal on a Pi?

I only have it usb powered, so no data connection to the pi. It broadcasts it's own WiFi AP and that's how I log in.
Depends on what you want to do with it, do you also wan't to sens sms with it? The downside if the dongle is that, although you can send sms'es with it, you have to log into the admin panel of the dongle for this. Usually, with openplotter you can send it based on an action, but I haven't done this yet.

I see that the dongle is compatible with linux, but I haven't yet set it up like this.
I guess I could give it a try.
