Hello everyone,
After switching from an SD card to a USB3 SSD, the gps data connected to the halfessier card fell.
The date and time were no longer up to date, SignalK received a date 2080/06 (RMC).
I did a lot of halfessier driver downgrade tests with no results before I came across this post.
After reading the Intel note (thank you Didier B. :-)) I "packed" my SSD and the USB3 cable and its connector in aluminum.
I have a GPS antesse deported at 5m, I placed a faradization braid on the first 30 cm of the GPS cable.
I disabled the Raspberry's wifi (the card went to 5G on the port's wifi) and I switched to a USB cable for modem sharing via smartphone.
The time "navigation.datetime" returned correct, but still no satellite (after several hours of waiting).
I did a test with a USB GPS antenna, SignalK and OpenCPN see the satellites very well therefore.
But if I have to install a USB gps, I do not see the usefulness of the Moitessier card - except for AIS no doubt - but which I can recover on the NMEA bus on board. The pressure measurement does not work either.
I would like to point out that the tests were also carried out with an original Raspberry 5V / 3A power supply - without further results.
I thank anyone who could give me an additional lead?
Thank you for all these contributions read.
Bruno
