another way would be to listen to the NMEA 0183 traffic, but you are only interested in the 38400 baud rate connection, which is port 2 according to your manual.  With NMEA0183 you can have multiple listeners but only one talker - so you could either listen to what is coming out of the chart plotter (Orange/Yellow, Orange/Brown).  or what is going to the chart plotter from another device on Orange/white and Orange/green: see page 32 of https://www.vela-navega.com/forum/myfile...lation.pdf.  to make this connection you need a RS422 to USB device - see https://openplotter.readthedocs.io/en/2....mples.html

Oops! The Ray49E is not providing AIS. I was getting confused with the MARPA output from the radar however I have just ordered a RS485 can hat.

<Background>
In my Greenline 33, all up I have the Raymarine gear (C120W + ST6002 + Ray49E + ST40BiData + 4kw Radome E92129)

AND the Volkswagen TDI150-5 (https://www.manualslib.com/products/Volk...14864.html) which has canbus available.

AND an Iskra 7kw motor / 5kw generator that also has canbus providing data to their custom configured indicator.

All of this tied together with
1.5kw of solar -> 48v victron MultiPlus 48/3000/35 -> 240v -> Victron 12v battery charger -> house + engine + bowthruster batteries

_One day_ I'd like to get it all working thru a series of consoles. I'm thinking

1. Summary page
2. Navigation info - Lat, Long, SOG, BoatSpeed, Depth,
3. Battery info - 48v, 12v, ConsumedEnergy, 48v SOC (%), TTG
4. Diesel Engine info - EngHrs, L/ph, RPM
5. Electric motor info - RPM, Motor temp, Batt temp

I did get these https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B07SYH9...UTF8&psc=1 but thinking now that they are not compatible and I've got this https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B01LZ6W...UTF8&psc=1. Just waiting on some plugs to make the adapter cable.
