Documentation Project I did start a complete documentation to 120 languages
#3
Because there was no reply to my postings it seem to me noone is realy interest in translations of the documentation. I do not see any reason than to register in Github (i use myselv allways Sourceforge).

I reduced to 29 languages down because of heavy translation process my small server runs with MYSQL CPU near to 100% and after a time i will if there is no interest to several languages kick them out also that the server runs with normal conditions. So sorry for the moment. The translations improve constantly themselve. Only green marked real human translations do not improve.

If you like the complete german translation is there:

http://donau-grundel-schiff.de/2017/04/1...-erklaert/

Its a 100% translation from the docu from now. I did found a lot of mistakes in spelling and grammar and it seems a big part was done from a german natural speaking person because there are used a lot of german typical phrases inside.

Still my suggestion is to sailoog to focus more to the documentation and include forums findings inside. Also the documentation in parts its outdated IMHO.

some stats for interest.

Total 92559 translated phrases.

en 358 backtranslated phrases for th moment.

ro 116 translated. Here i set focus now and will translate one page each day approx so in 3 months the romanian translation should be 100 %

If you read in yours language give something back to the project and just edit 5 phrases or as long you enjoy it so everyone that comes after you will have a little better way to read. As long the documentation is not better openplotter will be like a nice usefull part for specialists. The most will install it just for reason to have a chartplotter and a AIS system. So as long no more examples inside documentation what you can easy DIY the big potential of this nice peace of software will used by only a view persons. This is just my personal impression.
