As far as interference, I treat it like a compass. keep it away from electrical panel and big wires. I have a little cubbyhole at the companion way. the case is mounted but no top as it traps heat. stand offs and drain holes in the bottom incase water finds it way in. the gps lives there too as it is not affected by fiberglass. i have checked it against my bulkhead mounted compass and a good hand compass they all read the same. the humidity and temperature sensors can be adjusted for the heat coming off the pi but it never is perfect. Pressure sensor is fine if i calibrate it for the difference in altitude. ! wire sensors are better for Temperature.
I have tried to use the display but in node red it was a resource glut.
my current setup pi3 picoups, sensehat, gps, Uses .40 A/hr. I use a cheap tablet via vnc to do simple tasks and laptop for every thing else.
Thanks,
Mine is all working great now too, after I updated it (see other thread)
I haven't got the temperature working, but know the problems with that and the Hygrometer, but then I don't need to know that really.
I wont' bother trying to get the LED going then, would probably have been beyond me anyway, and I can see everything from Service K anyway
I didn't know about the UPS PIco thanks for that, I'll get one when they are back in stock, or maybe even a small normal UPS?
