There is no problem with keeping the history on GitHub. I start from scratch with each OP release to make development easier and cleaner, but if someone else contributes, I will keep the history from now on.

Little to elaborate about opengl issue, heavy charts will crash opencpn in wayland and opengl. See this thread for more info: https://www.cruisersforum.com/forums/f13...ost3914528

The fix you suggest for the menu issue does not work in 800x480 monitors (official RPi touchscreen).
