Extract Tracks?
#1
Hi all

This might be a stupid question, but can tracks & passage plans be extracted some how from the older OpenPlotter, and be read on the latest 64 bit version?
I have a number of sd cards & an SSD with different versions of open plotter, but would be interested in copying them to my new build I am putting together.   I did use the beta for a couple of trips (LOS sailing in waters I knew) and wouldlike to keep them in this years log (if its possible)....

I couldnt find anything - and didnt want to mess up a new build before I start!
If there are any compatibility issues, then its OK and I  wont do it - thems sometimes the breaks with beta software Smile

Kind regards

On Old build
Open OpenCPN
Route and Mark Manager
Export all visible (to a USB memory stick)

On New build
Open OpenCPN
Route and Mark Manager
Import all (from your USB stick)

If you have a "main" previous installation then you can copy the navobj.xml file from inside the opencpn directory into the same location on your new installation - all waypoints, routes, tracks are stored in that file by opencpn.
