Taking function control on Tinypilot
#1
Hi all,
thanks to the excellent user manual published by Sean, I have discovered that the last version of Pypilot 0.56 allowed the control of tacking using two buttons pressed together on the new RF remote controllers. I get this function with my wired  control buttons and that's great.
I would like to know if there is a way to get this function on the previous small 8 buttons RF controller ?

yes you should be able to program multiple button presses to a function in addition to single buttons.

You could also program tacking to a single button.

Hi Sean, thanks for your response. Unfortunately, I don't succeed to get it. When I press for example +1 and+10 together using the web app I obtain only +1 or +10. The same action on the gpio buttons works fine. But don't worry, it is not a big problem for me as the Tinypilot with its control keyboard is in the cockpit.

so you are able to program multiple gpio correct?

Is this the white 8 button remote? Some 433 remotes may not work with multiple buttons.

The remotes I made definitely do work, and are even more improved as they send stop codes, alternating codes, and delay (queued) repeats to avoid skipping fast presses...

Yes Sean, that's this kind of remote control received from your shop in 2023. So I will probably order your new remote. Thanks.
