Hall Effect Current Sensors
#1
Does anyone have any experience with Hall Effect current sensors? I'm looking to replace my big shut-based current measurement system.

I've seen a couple of types of these - some that are a ring that fits around a power wire, and others that are a breakout that basically looks like a circuit board with some really big traces and a high-current chip that does the measurement. Since I'm trying to cut down on the number of connection points in my high current circuits, I'm thinking I'd like to go for the ring type, but I'd like to hear if anyone else has tried this.
