Editing a node
#1
Wink
I know just enough about nodered to make me a little dangerous with my setup, now I'm trying to figure out how to change a node so that i can use it with my windlass control ui. The node I am looking at is the Signalk-geofence node. I like the idea of it but I'd really like to change the geofence in feet rather than meters and, more importantly to me, I'd like to be able to activate the tick selection for "use my position". What i am hoping to do is when I drop anchor I can manually press a UI button or maybe have the tick box auto check when the anchor drops. I know how to do both of those things in node red but I don't know how, or even if, it is possible to change a node setting while not in the edit node box. I'm sure I can figure out how to do this without using the geofence node and using functions etc but the geofence node would simplify it greatly.
